LDAP integration : choose your scheme !

LDAP integration (AD, OpenLDAP, etc.) allows users accounts and credentials centralization. The smartcard is therefore used as an authentication token and as a secondary credentials sahe storage (allow remote users to benefit security even when disconnected from the network). Smartcard is synchronized with the directory when user is connected to the network.

IDactis Security is integrated into the company LDAP directory or can be used through a dedicated directory (ex ADAM). This second configuration allows a secure storage of credentials without modifying the company main scheme.

Smart card: the best solution for security unified security badge

Smart card is the easiest way to meet demand on unified security badge. On a single card you can group multiple technologies (Smart card secure chip, magstripe, and contact less antenna…). In fact, a lot of companies already use badges to:

- Control building access,
- Manage time,
- Manage lunch.

It means that smart card can naturally integrate IT security. Then users have to possess their badge to get in and out of buildings: it is the guarantee that workstations are secured because smart card is required to start and launch applications.

10 reasons to chose IDactis Security

- Biometrics, smartcard and USB key authentication devices
- Secure web and windows applications
- Secure emulators
- Local or centralized administration of users and token profiles
- Fast and easy integration (including PKI environment)
- Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Novel
- AD and LDAP compliant
- End user ease of use
- High costs reduction on Help desk
- Unified security badge to access to buildings and network
Three versions are available : Professional, Corporate and Advanced. A biometric version (with or without smartcard) is also available.

- Professional Edition is targeted for company willing to improve the security of their IT system without heavy configuration or modification of their infrastrucuture.
- Corporate Edition allows an extended password managment without central server. This version is compatible with most of market applications (including emulators).
- Advanced Edition allows secure credentials central storage (on a directory server) and is compatible with Citrix/TSE environment. This version offers a high level of administration and integration.
No more need to remember complex passwords : everyhting is stored on the token (and in central directory according to the version). Impact on help desk is immediate : waste of time related to passwords issues (omission, locked accounts, etc.) is highly reduced.
A world of passwords

A recent survey showed that nearly 65% of all users have to deal with an average of 4 to 10 passwords.

As a results, passwords are either simple or difficult to memorize, and therefore users write them on a piece of paper for everyone to see.

Your information is important: protect it!
An increasingly constraining legislative framework

The legislative environment becomes increasingly constricting and forces the companies to set up procedures allowing information control (especially financial data) and security procedures.

The installation of a SSO solution makes it possible to conform to the regulations in:
- reinforcing the access control to the information system,
- allowing the internal procedures audit relating to the accounting and financial data processing.
- controlling operational risks related to the access to data access.

Make password managment easy with IDactis Security
Secure and ease application access to users increase your company added value.

IDactis introduces a software suite : IDactis Security made of ID>Lock for strong authentication and ID>Pass for eSSO. Each software can work separately or as a part of the global suite : IDactis Security.

Users own a PIN code and a token (smartcard, USB key or fingerprint) to authenticate to the infrastructure or to applications. After entering their PIN code, they can access securely to all their applications.
